Terms of Service

Last updated 24 October 2026.

1. About these terms

Saria is a marketplace where people buy and sell items with each other. These terms apply to everyone who uses Saria. By creating an account, buying or selling, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use Saria

  • Saria is available in the United States only. Buyers and sellers must be in the US, and all prices and payments are in US dollars.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used them.

3. Buying

  • The seller, not Saria, sells you the item. Saria takes your payment through Stripe and holds it until the seller ships.
  • You can cancel an order while it is paid and not yet shipped, and you are refunded in full.
  • If the seller does not ship within the shipping window shown on your order, the order can be cancelled and you are refunded in full.
  • Once an order has shipped, returns are worked out with the seller. If you cannot agree, contact us.

4. Selling

These are the rules for sellers. They decide what you are paid, so read them before you set up payouts.

  • Saria's fee: 3.3% of the order total plus $0.60 for each order. You receive the order total less the fee. If an order is refunded in full, Saria does not keep its fee.
  • Payout setup: payouts are made to a Stripe account you set up through Saria, under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe pays your bank from there on its own schedule. You must finish payout setup before you can mark an order shipped.
  • When you are paid: the money for an order stays with Saria until you mark the order shipped with a tracking number. Your share is sent 1 day after you mark the order shipped (the payout hold). A payout is not sent while the buyer's payment is disputed.
  • Shipping: ship each order promptly and enter a real carrier and tracking number. An order not shipped within 1 day of payment is cancelled and the buyer refunded.
  • Refunds are taken from your earnings: if a buyer is refunded after you have shipped, the refunded amount is taken from your share of that order: from a payout not yet sent, or back from your Stripe account if it has been sent.
  • Disputes: if a buyer disputes the payment with their card issuer, your payout for that order is stopped, or taken back from your Stripe account if it has been sent. If the dispute is decided in your favour, contact us to have it paid to you.
  • Your listings: list only items you own and can ship, describe them honestly, and use your own photos. You are responsible for the item, its description and any taxes you owe on your sales.

5. What is not allowed

  • Items that are illegal, counterfeit, stolen, unsafe or recalled.
  • Misleading listings, fake reviews, or using Saria to arrange payment outside Saria.
  • Harassing, threatening or abusing other people.
  • Interfering with Saria, its systems or other people's accounts.

6. Suspension and removal

Saria may remove a listing, cancel an order, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe puts buyers, sellers or Saria at risk, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we tell you why. Money owed to you for orders you have already shipped is still paid, less any refunds and disputes taken back under section 4.

7. Liability

Saria provides the marketplace as it is. We are not the buyer or seller of the items listed, and we do not guarantee their quality, safety or legality, or that Saria is always available. To the extent the law allows, Saria is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Saria.

8. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, including the fee, the payout hold and the shipping window. The version on this page applies from the date shown at the top. An order is governed by the fee in force when it was paid.
